Jon LewisLewis worked as Sri Lanka’s batting coach in the 2019 World CupBangladesh Cricket Board is making an effort to appoint a batting consultant for the national team ahead of their home series against the West Indies in January. It is now learnt that BCB is in strong discussions with former England all-rounder Jon Lewis and if a common ground is reached, the Durham head coach will join Bangladesh as batting consultant for the series against the Windies. Earlier, we appointed McMillan as the batting consultant for the Sri Lanka series. The 50-year old Lewis has been in the BCB shortlist for the batting coach since McKenzie quit from the role. In the sub-continent, Lewis worked as Sri Lanka’s batting coach in the 2019 World Cup.
