Scott Stinson exaggerates when he opines the departure of Jose Bautista would leave a hole in the fabric of Toronto. Bautista, like most other modern baseballers, pales in comparison with the greats of the 1950s and 1960s. Of course, these pitchers may have laughed themselves off the mound looking at the modern spectacle in the batter’s box . I heard speech after speech of praise for his vision and leadership, and eternal hope for world peace. I don’t know how much my punishment will reduce global temperatures or emissions, but I’m sure they know.
