The Hip hardly had time to announce the cancellation to their fans — it most certainly was not their fault. Gord Downie and The Tragically Hip have curated the landscape and examined our culture like no other Canadian artists. It is not only Canadian unions and special interest groups that affect political decisions. The upside is that we made friends with a bunch of other Canadian fans and chatted the night away, enjoying a beverage and talking about our favourite band, The Tragically Hip. I concur with John Pepall in opposing term limits for political office when it should be the rights of the voters to make their decisions.
