Letters: If we want children to read more, schools need to scale back on screen time


When learning is delivered through platforms and devices, it becomes harder to see what children are actually being taught. If we are serious about promoting reading, we cannot ignore the contradiction of encouraging children to read at home while replacing books with screens in school. When you are a guest at even the friendliest of gatherings, you don’t publicly chastise the host over a minor misunderstanding. The question is why our president did not use her office to condemn the Iranian regime for slaughtering its citizens.
