He told me that Duke Energy will pay solar owners the retail price for kWh credits until July 203 after which Duke pays the wholesale amount but sells it at retail. In short, if customers do not act quickly, they will lose the opportunity to have control over their electric bills; i.e., after 6/30/2022, they won’t get net metering at all. It is available to residents of Brown, Greene, Lawrence, Monroe, Morgan, Orange and Owen counties while the 26% Federal Tax Credit is in effect.
