Awako, who was part of the then Ajax Football Academy, believes juvenile/Colts football is the perfect tonic to cure the general lack of quality players among the Ghana Premier League clubs. The juvenile/Colts football has been the talent hub for Ghana football since time immemorial but the project has suffered rejection lately. The former Berekum Chelsea midfielder returned to domestic football after leaving United States club, Phoenix Rising where he played alongside local team mate,Solomon Asante. Awako was part of the Ghana under 20 team that won the Africa Youth Championship in Rwanda and Africa’s first Youth World Cup in Egypt in 2009.
