Lesotho has been ranked the number one country in the world with highest suicide rate, a report by Our World in Data indicates. The Southern country topped the global list, with a suicide rate of 87.5 per 100,000 people. Notably, Zimbabwe came in at position seven with 23.6 per cent suicide deaths per 100,000 people. Central African Republic was ranked position ten with 23.0 percent suicide deaths per 100,000 people. Syria has a 2. per cent suicide deaths per 100,000 people, Sao Tome and Principe with 2.2 per cent, Jamaica 2.3 per cent and Turkey with 2.3 per cent.
