more-inA 2-year-old leopard in search of food fell into a dry well in Kallupalya village of Kunigal taluk in Tumakuru district on Wednesday night. The villagers saw the leopard in the well after they heard its growl and informed the officials of the Forest Department. The Forest Department personnel brought a wooden ladder and kept it in the well. The Forest personnel sat at a distance behind the bushes. Range Forest Officer Ravi C. said “The leopard came out of the well using the wooden ladder, within 10 minutes, around 4 p.m.”Carcass of leopard foundThe carcass of a 8-year-old male leopard was found near the forest area of Kilara village of Kunigal taluk.
