On the other hand, Salem revealed that Lenovo accounted for 7% of sales in the Egyptian market, according to one of the specialised research institutions. The company occupied the third position in terms of sales and the second position in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) market with a market share representing 22.4%. In the Brazilian market, the company also occupied the second position with a market share of 21.8%. The company is also considered one of the five largest companies selling mobile phones in India with a market share of 9.9%. Salem revealed that the company aims to raise its sales in the Egyptian market to reach 14% by the end of 2017.
