Vice President Leni Robredo on Thursday lashed out at several media outfits for running a report about former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos supposedly trimming about 21,000 votes from her lead in the ongoing manual recount by the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET). Robredo initially singled out the Star — in her Twitter post and in an interview with reporters at Clark Freeport in Pampanga on Thursday morning—for reporting about the supposed insider information. By noontime, Robredo said the Star was hardly the only newspaper that carried the report. In a Twitter post, she also named Manila Bulletin, Manila Standard, Daily Tribune and state-run People’s Television. “Can’t come from a PET insider, as they claim, because this is so far from the truth,” she said in her post.
