However, recently Lemma and his team came be to be a subject of skepticism following a leaked video of Lemma in which he allegedly talked about settling ethnic oromo Ethiopians in Addis Ababa. In the video below, Lemma dismissed that he did not say that he will settle ethnic Oromos in Addis Ababa claiming that his speech was taken out of context. He also talked about his parties relationship with Amhara Democratic Party (ADP) leadership. Lemme is yet to explain how and why his party, Oromo Democratic Party) issued a statement recently claiming ethnic oromo ownership of Addis Ababa.
