Khalijah, who has been selling the lemang at her stall in Jalan Baru for the past 17 years, said despite the variety of lemang they sell, the lemang biasa is proving to be most popular. “Many customers are always going for the lemang biasa as it is a classic festive dish while others will call to make orders for lemang jagung and lemang pulut hitam. “Most of them also stock up on lemang biasa for their Hari Raya open houses, so we have to make more to meet demand,” she said, adding that the lemang sells for between RM13 and RM18 each. “We will only close for the first two days of Hari Raya day, business will resume on the third day. “I also sell serunding ayam and serunding daging at my Tok Dee Lemang Asli stall,” she said.
