Leinster and Ulster's eagerly-anticipated Heineken Champions Cup quarter-finals next month are set to be postponed. Independent.ie understands that tournament organisers, EPCR, will hold a board meeting tomorrow via conference call, and while no decision has officially yet been reached, it is looking increasingly likely that both the Champions Cup and Challenge Cup will be called-off for now. As Covid-19 continues to rapidly spread, the rugby season has been plunged into further turmoil with uncertainty hanging over European rugby's flagship competitions. It has now become clear that with rugby on lockdown around Europe, the Champions Cup is highly unlikely to be able to continue as things stand. An announcement is expected tomorrow and should both European competitions be postponed, as is now feared, it remains unclear at this stage when the games would be rescheduled for.
