Special legislation will fast-track a project to build 450 homes in Queenstown. DASHA KUPRIENKO/STUFF The Wakatipu High School site in Queenstown is being considered for new housing built under the Crown Land Programme. Under the CLP 400 new homes had been built on Crown land in Christchurch and another 2700 were being built in Auckland. Ngai Tahu and the Government have also signed a memorandum of understanding to explore options to develop vacant or underutilised parcels of Crown Queenstown land for housing developments.
