Nominations for the Legislative Council elections will be accepted from July 18 to July 31, the government announced. The elections for the seventh term Legislative Council will be held on September 6 when pro-democracy forces will aim to take their momentum from their sweep at November’s district council elections to the Legco polls. Legco elections are held every fours years and thousands of civil servants will be called up for duty.
