Namibia's President Nangolo Mbumba on Sunday honoured the legacy of his predecessor Hage Geingob as he was laid to rest. “Today(Sunday), we bid farewell to a national hero, a courageous freedom fighter, and a torchbearer of freedom, justice, and equality,” remarked President Mbumba. Reflecting on Geingob’s contributions, he stated, “He excelled as a unifying Chairman, the first Prime Minister, and the third President of Namibia. Addressing the mourning family, President Mbumba assured them that the whole of Namibia was with them during this period of mourning. Despite the tireless efforts of his medical team, President Geingob, sadly, did not recover."
