A founding member of an infamous left-wing terrorist group who later became a right-wing extremist is now seeking asylum in Hungary, German media reported on Sunday. Horst Mahler was sentenced to ten years in prison for incitement of hatred and Holocaust denial, but now he is asking Hungary to grant him political asylum, according to the Mitteldeutsche Zeitung. Mahler was one of the founding members of the left-wing terror group Red Army Faction - also known as the Baader-Meinhof Group - which engaged in bombings, assassinations, kidnappings, bank robberies, and shoot-outs for three decades.
