The Government has praised a simple city-wide initiative that taught new parents how to be more strict. Almost one in 10 children are obese by primary school age. But academics from Israel analysed data in Leeds and found obesity in the Yorkshire city at the pre-school phase has gone into reverse. Rates of obese children starting primary school fell from 9.4% to 8.8%.
