Led Zeppelin lawyers have challenged the inclusion of the contract in the case, contending it falls outside the statute of limitations. However, when Page was asked to compare Stairway to the Taurus sheet music, he said he preferred to hear it. Page has testified that he never heard Taurus until years after Led Zeppelin released Stairway to Heaven. To demonstrate the shortcomings of sheet music, though, Malofiy showed Page the copyright version of Stairway to Heaven.
