An art lecturer’s lesbian affair with a pupil came to light when the 17-year-old girl’s father spotted a love bite on her neck, a disciplinary tribunal has heard. Nia Davies, 31, faces being banned from teaching because of the alleged relationship with her pupil. The pair exchanged “thousands” of inappropriate text messages and shared a bed on visits to art galleries in London, the tribunal was told. Ms Davies, who now teaches at Carmarthen College in west Wales, and her former pupil, who was referred to as Learner A and is now 19, deny they had a sexual relationship.
