BEIRUT, Lebanon, March 28, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - Lebanese President Joseph Aouncondemned the Israeli strike that killed a journalist for Hezbollah's AlManar TV and another for the pro-Hezbollah Al Mayadeen channel in southernLebanon on Saturday. "Once again, the Israeli aggression violates the most basic rules ofinternational law, international humanitarian law and the laws of war, bytargeting journalists, who are ultimately civilians performing a professionalduty," Aoun said in a statement released by the presidency. "This is a blatant crime that violates all the norms and treaties under whichjournalists enjoy international protection in wars."
