Sharron Davies, the Olympic swimming medallist, has disputed claims that trans women have no biological advantage over biological females in sports, made by a sports inclusion charity at Holyrood. “Further, Leap Sports was one of the groups that persuaded Scottish Athletics to adopt the non-binary category, which is unfair and discriminatory against females. "Inclusive sport is not inclusive if it puts women at a competitive disadvantage, or if it affects their safety." She also wrote: "I have worked in HR for more than 30 years - inclusion is part of my professional DNA. That is why I recognise that a balance must be struck between inclusion, fairness and safety in sport.
