But now we may be seeing one unlike any of the others for Call of Duty: Vanguard. New datamining from Nanikos suggests that “swordtitan” and “aot_titan” strings found in the code indicate that a crossover with Attack on Titan is coming. It’s an unusual crossosver, considering Attack on Titan is a series that rarely, if ever, uses guns at all, something we can’t say about the Dredd/Rambo/Die Hard crossovers before. We have not seen any of the Call of Duty IP deals have their own versions in Fortnite, for instance, or vice versa. I kind of almost expected Fortnite to do something with Attack on Titan at some point, but perhaps this COD deal indicates that isn’t happening at all.
