UMS of Loum gained the status as the tittle holders thanks to the defeat of Coton Sports by Botafogo FC in a 0-2 encounter. The League 1 champions, UMS of Loum; has taken over the batton of command from Coton Sport that has been leading the chart during the last three editions of the competition. It is worth noting that ,UMS of Loum, a local team from a small locality in the Muongo Division, managed by Pierre Kwemo ascended in the last five years from the divisional level to CAF standards. During the last season of the League 1 games ,UMS of Loum portrayed professionalism and gained popularity after winning a major championship.
