The Maple Leafs will be missing four key players tonight when they face the Montreal Canadiens at the Air Canada Centre. Matthews has missed 10 games in a shoulder injury, but he’s been practising with the regular lineup for the past week. He dropped the red “no-contact” jersey at the morning skate Saturday, which is indicative that he is indeed close to returning to game action. The Leafs are expected to practice Sunday and Monday in advance of their road game in Tampa on Tuesday. Andersen (upper body) and Zaitsev (lower body) both skated on their own Saturday, and may also be fully ready to return to the lineup by Tuesday.
