Lesley Adlam made Harrier history 60 years ago, when she became the first woman to take part in Wellington’s toughest cross country race, in a field of 100 men. Sixty years ago there wasn’t a single woman challenging an all-male field in the Vosseler Shield​, Wellington's toughest cross-country race. Then Lesley Adlam​ came along.
