A senior sales director with estate agent Sherry FitzGerald, Ms Byrne (62) drove the biggest residential property deals in the Dublin 6 area for decades. Ms Byrne died unexpectedly at her Ranelagh home on Monday night. Mark FitzGerald, Sherry FitzGerald’s chairman, said: “Geralyn lived in a modern world yet possessed an old-fashioned duty of care. Ms Byrne was known for her tireless work on her clients’ behalf, and earned a reputation as a fearless negotiator. Ms Byrne is survived by her husband Greg Ryan, children Jack, Anna and Mike, sister Moya and brother-in-law Michael.
