Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, his West Pokot counterpart Samuel Phogisio, Governor Stanley Kiptis, West Pokot's John Lonyangapuo and Baringo Woman Rep Gladwel Cheruiyot were present. Pokot leaders blamed the frequent banditry attacks on a few notorious criminals. Moi lauded the Pokot leaders for helping reduce the cases of banditry drastically since 2017. “With the lifting of the curfew and ceasefire we as a department can now move freely to make a conclusive assessment to ascertain the real hunger situation” Wafula said.
