Ciro Immobile scored twice for LazioLazio laboured to a 2-0 home win against relegation-threatened Verona on Monday night to revive their Champions League qualification hopes. Talisman Ciro Immobile scored both goals early in the second half as the Biancocelesti got their top-four challenge back on track following three successive Serie A defeats. The hosts were frustrated during a first half which saw Immobile, Wallace, and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic all fail to make the most of decent chances. Luis Alberto went close to scoring when his right-foot shot from outside the penalty area struck the crossbar. Simone Calvano went close with a long-range effort late on for Verona, who remain second-bottom of the table and five points from safety after a seventh defeat in eight league matches.
