ISLAMABAD: The faithful on Thursday night observed Laylat al-Qadr, or the Night of Decree, across the globe with great religious zeal. With the setting of the sun, the faithful started gathering at mosques to offer special prayers for peace, progress, and prosperity of the country, besides seeking forgiveness for their sins. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, most people offered prayers at their homes to seek forgiveness throughout the night until Suhoor. Night-long prayers were offered and the Holy Quran was recited both in mosques and homes. Special security arrangements were made for the peaceful observance of the Laylat al-Qadr.
