Lawmakers and members of the Cabinet opted to go into self-quarantine as a precaution against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19). Twelve senators isolated themselves, either because they had contact with a person infected with Covid-19 or were simply playing it safe. Sen. Juliana Pilar Cayetano will put on hold scheduled activities but will not go on self-quarantine. The country’s economic managers are also undergoing self-quarantine after some of them were exposed to a Covid-19 patient. I have no symptoms, but am self-isolating until I get tested,” Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez 3rd told reporters in a message Wednesday night.
