MANILA, Philippines — A people’s movement called Hugpong Para kay Sara or HPS will be launched this coming September, according to party-list representative Bernadette Herrera. ADVERTISEMENTThe Sara they are referring to is Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, daughter of President Rodrigo Duterte. “HPS is a people’s movement gathering together those who believe that Mayor Sara is the one who can also take over and run for president. We want to convince her to run for president, ” Herrera told INQUIRER. The lawmaker is optimistic that the mayor of Davao City will soon announce her bid for the presidency.
