Ferry services on the route have remained suspended since Sunday after landing stations of four ferry terminals were devoured by the Padma River. The launch services on the Paturia-Daulatdia resumed in the morning. Meanwhile, the ferry services started in the afternoon. The Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority suspended the service on Tuesday morning due to tidal surge caused by inclement weather. Faridul Islam, assistant in-charge (traffic) of the BIWTA, said the launch services were suspended on the route around 7:30pm on Tuesday and resumed at about 7:30am on Thursday after a halt of over 36 hours.
