In protest to the attack, Latif Siddiqui and his supporters are staging a sit-in program near the district’s deputy commissioner and returning officer’s office since 2pm. Latif Siddique told the reporters: “Because of the instigation of local Awami League MP Hasan Imam Khan, my motorcade was attacked when I along with my supporters were electioneering in Kalihati’s Gohalia Bari area. “Some of my supporters were also injured in the attack. At least four cars, including mine, were vandalized.”He said the protest will continue till an environment for a fair election is created.
