House prices increased by 1.1 per cent in the Braintree district in July, new figures show. The boost contributes to the longer-term trend, which has seen property prices in the area achieve 13.9 per cent annual growth. Owners of semi-detached houses saw the biggest improvement in property prices in Braintree in July – up 1.4 per cent to £359,600 on average. Across the East of England, property prices are lower than those across the UK, where the average cost is £292,000.
