Marlow’s women’s and men’s first teams had mixed emotions though, after a topsy-turvy final weekend of England Hockey League West Conference fixtures. That loss left Slough level on points with Clifton, and with an identical goal difference. Slough escaped relegation by virtue of having scored more goals, condemning Cheltenham and Clifton to the drop.
