'Late Saudi king wanted to give Najib a horse' [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: The late King Abdullah Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia had wanted to gift Datuk Seri Najib Razak an Arabic stallion but the latter declined, the High Court was told today. Former Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman said King Abdullah had made the offer during Najib’s official visit to the gulf country 10 years ago. “As we were leaving King Abdullah’s palace, Najib had observed and admired paintings of Arabian stallions that were in the walkway of the palace. “He (Najib) commented on the beauty of the Arabian horses and King Abdullah took heed of his comment before he offered the former prime minister one of the many prized stallions that he possessed. “Najib, however, politely declined the offer as he does not ride horses,” he said in his witness statement before High Court judge Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali.
