Former Nyeri Governor Wahome Gakuru's assistant Albert Muchiri. Reports saying Muchiri had diedHis mother was among the thousands of people who visited him at the hospital. She had travelled from Nyeri that very day of the accident after a false report aired on the radio indicated that Muchiri had died in the accident. Further, on social media, some individuals amplified the rumours that he was dead, causing panic among his friends and family. Muchiri was later discharged after a few days, and the doctors asked him to be taken to hospital every day.
