General News of Monday, 29 April 2019Source: citinewsroom.comLate Major General Vib-Sanziri’s body arrives in Ghana from IsraelThe remains of late Major-General Francis Vib-Sanziri arrived Ghana SundayThe remains of late Major-General Francis Vib-Sanziri, the Head of Mission and Force Commander of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF), arrived in the country from Israel, on Sunday. The body was received by the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) with a short prayer ceremony led by the Clergy of the Ghana Armed Forces. Director- General Welfare, Ghana Police Service and the widow COP Beatrice Vib-Sanziri was also at the airport with some family members to welcome the body. Major General Vib-Sanziri was appointed by the United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres in October 2017 to head the Multi-National Force. Major General Vib-Sanziri, aged 62 passed away suddenly on Friday, April 19, 2019 at Eilat, Israel.
