A large slip has blocked Akatarawa Rd between Upper Hutt and Kāpiti. A large slip has blocked Akatarawa Rd between Upper Hutt and Kāpiti. The slip is about 3 kilometres north of Staglands Wildlife Reserve and has made the road impassable. The Upper Hutt City Council has warned motorists to exercise caution while driving in the area. Council officers are investigating the slip but have not indicated when the road might be cleared.
