According to the police, an investigation began in early July 2024 after they received reports about a group selling and transporting large quantities of drugs from the capital city of Vientiane, via National Route 13, to Khamkeut town in Bolikhamxay province,. The drugs were planned to be shipped to neighbouring countries. Lao authorities are expanding the investigation to track down other individuals involved in this large-scale drug trafficking network./.
