more-inDINDIULA section of Sri Lankan refugees at Adiyanuthu refugee camp submitted a petition to Superintendent of Police A. Saravanan on Monday, complaining against two persons that they had cheated them to the tune of ₹15 lakh. In their petition, the refugees said that Azhagendran and Murugadas of Pudukkottai had collected ₹100 each from hundreds of refugees as Deepavali chit for 55 weeks. On completion of the period, they neither returned the amount nor responded to their enquiries, they said. When they appealed to the SP to take action against the duo and get back their money, Mr. Saravanan assured them of proper action.
