The director gave the order a week after Murang’a lands registry circulated a list of 2,870 members who were to collect their tittle deeds at the office. About 6,000 shareholders submitted their share certificates for verification; only 980 having received their tittle deeds. Shareholders of the controversial Kihiu Mwiri land buying company can now rest easy after the government ended the confusion that marred issuance of their title deeds. "We have conducted intensive consultations within the ministry and decided to proceed with the issuance of tittle deeds as we seek to address issues raised by shareholders," Kahuho said. He said Murang’a county land registrar Nancy Njenga will resume issuance of the title deeds from tomorrow [read Friday].
