Masrurul Haque, officer-in-charge of Naikhongchhari Police Station, said that the incident occurred at the zero point in Myanmar territory along Dochhari Union’s Lembuchhari border on Wednesday. The injured man, 20-year-old Mohammad Shahidullah, is the son of Badsha Mia, a resident of Bahir Math in Lembuchhari. According to locals, Shahidullah crossed the border to “smuggle” Bangladeshi goods into Myanmar. Citing locals, OC Masrurul said: "The explosion blew apart the man's left leg, below the knee.
