Balakrishnan, a native of Taliparamba, on Tuesday arrested Payyannur-based lawyer K.V. Shylaja and her husband P. Krishna Kumar, who had been earlier arrested in a case of alleged grabbing of property of the deceased person. The special team arrested the couple on the charge that the death of the retired government officials could be a case of possible murder. Police chargeThe team gathered evidence that the couple had forcibly got ailing 81-year-old Balakrishnan discharged from Thiruvananthapuram General Hospital and had taken him to Kozhikode. Family in the darkHe was discharged from the hospital after the couple produced fake documents and got the body cremated at a crematorium at Shoranur without informing the family.
