Land commission revokes titles for 150 public plots in Eldoret


The National Land Commission has revoked titles for 150 public plots allocated to influential individuals and institutions in Eldoret town. Twenty prime plots belong to the Uasin Gishu government and 120 are owned by the Kenya Prisons Service. "This is prisons land reserved vide Gazette Notice No 371 of 1961 and No 751 of 1963 which vested the land in prisons department. Meanwhile, the National Environmental Authority will demolish 27 buildings and other structures on riparian land in Eldoret.
