The vendors at Mek Market together cooked and handed out fried pork and fried meatballs along with sticky rice, fruit and drinking water to passers-by at the shop front along the Lampang-Mae Tha Road. Kham Sripaengwong, 60, who owned a noodle shop in Sri Muad Klao Housing Estate in Tambon Chomphu, also opened his doors and gave away 500 bowls of noodle soup as a charitable act to add to the late monarch's merit.
