Luxury sports car maker Lamborghini has managed to beat the downturn in the Indian automobile market and is poised to post a 30 per cent growth in 2019, with the sale of 65 units this year. “We have experienced a steep growth in India this year led by the Urus sales. In the Asia Pacific region, we have sold 50 units of the Urus in Singapore,” said Ortenzi, who heads the Asia Pacific market. Asked if India has broken into the top 10 markets for Lamborghini, Ortenzi said: “India’s contribution to global sales is below 1 per cent but it is an important market for us. But things are really changing fast here.”Of the very limited edition of the Aventador SVJ 63, one has been purchased by a Lamborghini collector in Bangalore.
