The officer lost his gun magazine loaded with eight round of bullets on Sunday during a skirmish at the district town’s College Bazar neighbourhood. Additional Superintendent of Police Marufa Zaman said an inquiry is likely to be opened on the matter. “We are trying to trace the magazine and the bullets.”In October last year, another officer’s service gun went missing from his home in the district town’s Balatari area. Sub-Inspector Ayub Ali was suspended after the incident, but the police is yet to recover the pistol.
