Get ready to explore Lake Sumter like never before. The Villages Recreation and Parks Department will offer guided, two-hour fishing and nature tours from a pontoon boat and one- and two-hour kayaking excursions beginning in March. Fishing tours will run from 8 to 10 a.m. four times per month. To reserve a spot on the kayaking and nature tours, Villages residents can register at any regional recreation center beginning Feb. 23. This is just another example of that, and it’s terrific.”The Recreation and Parks staff will launch the outings from Lake Sumter starting in mid-March.
